Another apparent ICE raid with about two dozen ICE agents on scene in St. Paul Tuesday

WCCO's Taylor Rivera reports tear gas and rubber bullets were fired at those that gathered around the scene

A large crowd of people are gathered in a residential area near the 600 block of Rose Avenue near Maryland and Payne Avenues in St. Paul.

It's an apparent ICE raid with about two dozen ICE agents on scene, and protesters have gathered to try to stop the raid.

The situation began at around 10:30 a.m. at a family home near Rose and Edgerton Street, sparking a tense protest and a heavy St. Paul police presence for crowd control.

Community members gathered to oppose the warrant being carried out, leaving St. Paul police to reportedly use pepper spray and make arrests of protesters breaching the perimeter.

ICE dispersed at about 12:30 from the scene.

Organizers close to the family say an arrest of an entire family was on the table, although only one person was taken into custody.

WCCO's Taylor Rivera is on the scene and reports as ICE officers departed, tear gas and rubber bullets were shot at those that gathered around the scene, including hitting some media members who were also in the crowd.

This comes after federal authorities say they arrested 14 people suspected of being in the country illegally during a raid on paper distributor Bro-Tex in St. Paul last week.

The Department of Homeland Security said those arrested in that particular raid include an individual with past domestic abuse charges and a person suspected of illegally reentering the country.
