More than a dozen armed robberies involving juveniles happened Sunday in Minneapolis, with three arrests reported.
Some were using stolen cars, and none of the victims was seriously hurt.
There were six such incidents between 10"00 a.m. and noon Sunday, most in south Minneapolis.
There were more Sunday night on the north side.
This comes as the MPD began the new Robbery Pattern Response Protocol, diverting officers from low-priority calls to the area where the robberies were taking place.
A similar rash of robberies happened in Minneapolis two weeks ago, and MPD chief Brian O'Hara says the same group of juveniles may be been involved in both crime sprees.
