The annual Back to the 50’s Car Show is underway at the Minnesota State Fair, with classic auto lovers getting their fill all weekend
More than 11,000 street rods, customs, and classics are on display this weekend.
Kris Burke of DeForest, Wisconsin says she never misses it
"We usually bring a '34 Ford up here," says Burke. " Now we have handicap scooters so we can't do that anymore, but the best thing is to get a foot long corndog.
Burke says when it comes to seeing the restored cars, it’s interesting to note the newest colors on the paint jobs. The 51st annual Back to the 50s car show runs all weekend at the fairgrounds.
Ritchie of Cumberland, Wisconsin was in the car business for 58 years, including when the cars he's seeing this weekend were just coming off the assembly line.
"Oh, it's a way of life," says Cumberland, " I mean, I grew up in the car business and back in the 50's I love it."
He still has about 30 rebuilt cars but would like to see younger people get involved in car restoration.
