The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating after an infant died Monday at a Savage daycare facility.
Savage Police say the infant died following a medical incident at Rocking Horse Ranch Childcare facility and that the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office is determining the cause and manner of death.
Data from the Minnesota Department of Human Services shows officials conducted two licensing review visits this year at the facility in March and in June, where several violations were discovered. Those violations were ultimately corrected according to the DHS.
As part of their investigation, police are telling parents at the center to monitor their children and seek immediate medical attention if they exhibit altered mental status, unusual behavioral changes, or other concerning symptoms.
