A Texas man who claims an affiliation with the violent anti-government "Boogaloo Bois" movement has pleaded guilty to opening fire on the third precinct police headquarters building during unrest over the killing of George Floyd.
Ivan Harrison Hunter was accused of firing 13 rounds from a semi-automatic assault-style rifle on the police station while protesters were inside the building.
According to the US Attorney's office, Hunter pleaded guilty to a federal riot charge while admitting to traveling from Texas to Minnesota with the intent to participate in a riot.
A judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
Hunter was arrested less than a month after Floyd died, police stopping his pickup truck in Texas and finding automatic weapons, ammunition, and a tactical vest.
Hunter had also made statements on social media describing what he did in Minneapolis.
