Brooklyn Park Police are looking for a man with a gun and have locked down Park Brook Elementary School and asked people to stay out of the area at this time.
Police and SWAT teams are looking for an older white male who is wearing a camouflaged jacket in the area of 7200 Block of Idaho Ave.
The school is locked down for precautionary reasons and police encourage residents of the area to shelter in place and lock all doors and windows.
A school administrator tells WCCO Radio's Paul Hodowanic that there is no threat to children inside the school. They will communicate with parents on how to pick-up their kids when the lockdown ends.
