A Brooklyn Park family is seeking the public's help in finding a 27 year old man who went missing more than three weeks ago.

The family of Jontae Lee is hosting a birthday vigil at Wagner's Drive-in to raise awareness after he vanished following a late-night altercation with a friend. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and tan pants. The vigil is Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m.

While local police initially conducted a welfare check, and later listed him with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, his relatives are now urging anyone with information about his last known movements near 70th and Maryland Avenue North to come forward.

"Things just don't - this is not adding up," says Lee's mother. "This is not Jontae's behavior regardless of what anyone thinks. We know him as a family, that this isn't it."

Investigators and loved ones are currently waiting for any new leads that could break open the case.

"He left home with a friend," says his brother Kamarri. "They had a brief altercation heading towards CarMax. That is all that we know. We haven't really gotten any leads or any further information. Everything seems to be a dead end."

The Minnesota BCA is currently classifying Lee as a missing and endangered person following his last confirmed sighting on the night of March 10.

Supporters hope the celebratory event will generate fresh tips.

Anyone who knows where he may be is encouraged to contact the Brooklyn Park Police Department at (763) 493-8222, or Hennepin County dispatch directly at (952) 258-5321.
