This week's been quite the rollercoaster ride for a young Byron Buxton fan.

Sam Cleveland's son, Camden, was attending Tuesday's game between the Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles when he got the opportunity to have Buxton sign a baseball for him.

That baseball was ripped away from Camden by an unknown fan. That fan ran away, leaving Camden devastated. Fortunately, the sports world sprung into action.

Word about what happened spread like wildfire over social media with Bally Sports North reporter Audra Martin, the Minnesota Twins, Baltimore Orioles, and even Buxton himself pledging to make things right for Camden.

Sam told WCCO Radio's Vineeta Sawkar the Twins showed up in a big way for his son.

"From the Twins and Byron Buxton he got a signed ball, a pair of batting gloves, and a signed baseball bat," Cleveland said.

Chicken tenders and pizza helped Camden deal with some of the sadness and anger in the innings after the ball was taken from him on Tuesday.

Camden was at Wednesday's game between the Twins and Orioles.

Sam said the Orioles messaged him directly on social media, instructing them to call a phone number.

"The Orioles upgraded us to the owner's seats. Their new owner, David Rubenstein, upgraded us."

There was even a bag of Orioles goodies waiting for them.

"He was so happy, I wish I had the camera rolling when he found out where we were sitting and that someone from the Twins wanted to talk to him," Sam said. "He had no idea that Byron was going to gift him that stuff."

Safe to say, Camden's still a Buxton fan.

"It was just such a negative moment that turned into something positive. The fact we all came together, it wasn't just the Twins or the Orioles, it was the whole baseball community," added Sam.
