History in St. Paul Tuesday night when US Women’s National Team legend Carli Lloyd retired from international soccer at Allianz Field.
When Lloyd was subbed off the field in the 65th minute she was met by more than two minutes of standing ovation by the more than 18,000 in attendance.
Lloyd has won two Olympic gold medals and two World Cup championships and has played in more than 300 matches, the second most international appearances of any player. She has scored 134 goals for the United States, third-most in the team's history.
