The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce is looking for the 'next coolest thing' in its second annual contest.
Minnesota is known for producing a number of well known products.
"Some of them we're really familiar with, but Minnesota makes so many different products that we're not familiar with," says Anne Yoder who is with the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.
That group is now taking nominations for the "Coolest Things Made in Minnesota" contest. Yoder says the winner last year was Scotch Tape made by 3M.
"Another one of the finalists last year was called the Action Track Chair. It's an ATV wheelchair that's manufactured out of Marshall," Yoder explains.
Other nominations came showed the diversity of products that have come out of the state.
"Last year we had aircraft, pepperoni, LED displays, blankets, playground equipment," Yoder says.
She adds there are new products coming down the line every day.
"They buy out companies in other places and move manufacturing to Minnesota," says Yoder. "There's always new cool stuff to talk about."
Nominations are open now through August 15 with the winner announced in October. Find more information and nominate your product here.
