A six-year-old girl who was inside a car that was hit by a vehicle chased by Brooklyn Center police has died.
Blessings McLurain-Gray was one of five people injured in the crash on Friday night.
Those five people were a woman and four children.
A teenager who was hurt in the crash remains hospitalized.
On Saturday at the site of the crash, hundreds gathered to mourn the girl's death.
Police identified the man being chased as 28-year-old Hakeem Waheed Muhammad, who was wanted in connection with the shooting death of Devin Dampier earlier this year.
Muhammed remains in custody in the Hennepin County jail.
Records show the cars involved in the chase reached speeds of 70 miles per hour in residential areas of Brooklyn Center.
