Minnesotans living in long term care facilities will start getting vaccinated against COVID-19 on Monday.
CVS Health is distributing the vaccine to nearly six-hundred facilities, where more than 63,000 people live and work.
"If we can get more people vaccinated, I think we can get back to some resemblance of normalcy," said Twin Cities health care worker Cindy Wilton, who appeared on the WCCO Morning News with Roshini Rajkumar.
Health care workers have already been receiving the shots at hospitals and other medical centers around the state.
Wilton has already receiver her first vaccine.
"I haven't experienced any side-effects," she said. "That soreness in the arm lasted maybe a day, and then it's gone.
It's not known when the vaccine will be made available to the general public in Minnesota.
