A Minnesota Department of Corrections employee is on investigative leave after he and his wife were caught on video in a profane confrontation with protesters who were seeking more serious charges against the Brooklyn Center police officer who fatally shot Daunte Wright.

Sgt. Paul Gorder with the state prison in Stillwater is seen shouting at protesters gathered Sunday outside the home of Washington County Attorney Pete Orput who charged Kim Potter with second degree manslaughter.
Gorder's wife is heard hurling a racial slur at the protestors.
Wright was shot and killed during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center April 11, with body cam video showing Potter firing her service weapon at the 20-year-old.
Brooklyn Center's former police chief claimed that Potter mistakenly thought she was using her Taser at the time.
The shooting death touched off several days of oftentimes violent confrontations between demonstrators at riot gear-wearing officers at the Brooklyn Center police station, adding to the existing tension over the Derek Chauvin trial.
The trial was at its midway point when the shooting happened, with Chauvin convicted by the jury nine days later.
