The second fatal fall in seven weeks has sparked an investigation at Palisade Head near Silver Bay on the North Shore of Lake Superior.
According to police, on Monday just after 11:00 a.m., the Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a body on the rocks.
There, they recovered 64-year-old Michael Morse at the base of a Tettegouche State Park cliff.
This follows a late-May incident where a Minneapolis man also lost his life at the popular North Shore overlook.
Local officials are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Morse's death to determine exactly what happened.
The North Shore of the big lake, and the state parks that dot the shoreline, have been increasingly popular in recent years, drawing huge crowds of people during the summer, and for fall color trips.
The Minnesota DNR has warned visitors that parking lots and overlooks can fill-up quickly, and create dangerous conditions.
