It's not known what led to the stabbing of a man who was found dying from wounds early Sunday in the south metro.
Police say they found the man lying on the sidewalk of the intersection of Pennock Avenue and 138th Street in Apple Valley.
That intersection is just south of Wallace Park.
Officers say the man had a chest wound, and was covered in blood.
Emergency crews tried to save the man's life but he was ultimately declared dead at the scene.
Names are not released and no one is in custody.
Authorities are asking anyone who has exterior cameras in that area to review them for any activity that happened between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. Sunday.
