First Avenue & 7th St Entry -- the venue made famous by Prince’s Purple Rain -- said Monday it would require all guests to prove they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or show recent negative test results in order to enter.
Effective immediately, all patrons must show evidence of vaccination or testing to attend concerts and events at The Entry. Acceptable verification includes vaccination cards -- the physical card or a photo -- or proof of a negative test result -- printed or digital. Guests must also provide matching identification.

Unvaccinated people, children younger than 12-years-old who cannot be vaccinated, and people with medical conditions or religious exemptions may attend events with a negative test result in the last 72 hours and are encouraged to wear masks regardless.
“Taking this step ensures the safety of our guests, staff, and the artists, and implementing this simple measure minimizes risk and the spread of the virus,” the venue said on its website.
The concert hall already mandates vaccinations for its staff and called the new requirements for guests “an extension of those precautions.”
First Avenue said the vaccination policy applies to its namesake venue, 7th Street Entry, Turf Club, Fine Line, The Fitzgerald Theater, and Palace Theater.
