Minneapolis native and former NBA player Alan Anderson is one of two former professional players sentenced to prison.
Anderson was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison for his role in a scheme to defraud the NBA's health and welfare plan.
According to U-S attorneys in New York, Anderson helped recruit other players to file claims for medical and other treatments that never happened...to the tune of more than $4 million.
Anderson, who is 40 years old, played high school basketball for DeLaSalle and college basketball for Michigan State before a 13-year professional career.
