Prosecutors have now charged two young men for an apparent drive-by shooting outside Burnsville High School after graduation last Friday night.

18-year old Abdulahi Jama Ali and 18-year old Abdikani Mukhtar Abdiwahabwere were charged Monday in Dakota County with two counts of drive-by shooting and other related felonies.

According to the criminal complaint, officers working security were aware of two groups of people arguing and flashing gang signs toward each other as they were trying to disperse the crowd.

It's still not clear if any of the suspects attended the school, or what led to the shooting which happened about a half hour after the ceremony concluded.

Reports say some fighting broke out near the school around 8:30 p.m. with gun fire erupting 30 minutes after that.

Formal charges have yet to be filed.
