WCCO Radio personality Vineeta Sawkar took to the road for a fish fry tasting during this Lent season.

The third and final stop took them back to St. Paul and Gabe’s Bar and Kitchen (you might know it as Gabe's By the Park). Vineeta was joined by WCCO Producer Josh Wheeler and Regional Promotions Manager Mike Conway.

Conway started by saying the tartar sauce is the star, which he described as perfectly creamy and loaded with fresh dill. He says the fish is flaky and he’s a big fan.

Wheeler also said the tartar sauce was the perfect complement to the fish. He says they really got a crispy fish, almost to the point of overcooked though.

Sawkar said it’s really good and “her kind of fish fry”, with a golden batter with extra crispiness compared to their other two stops at Gluek’s and Obb’s.

Gabe’s has a regular Fish Fry dinner with beer battered fish, fries, slaw, house-made tartar sauce, and lemon for $15.95.
