"There are families shattered every time one of these happen, communities that are concerned, we are concerned as well," said Minneapolis Police spokesperson Garrett Parton, talking to reporters Wednesday night about another fatal shooting in the city.
This shooting took place on the east side of downtown near Portland and 15th Street. The second shooting overnight at 19th Street and Nicollet where two women were shot but expected to survive.
That is the site of a fatal shooting that happened Tuesday.
"We're going to do everything we can to pinpoint those individuals who are in that community, and that neighborhood, causing the harm," Parton added. "We're concerned for the neighbors, for the people that live there, and we'll do everything we can to bring people to justice."
Police say no arrests have been made yet.
That makes five homicides in six days in Minneapolis and it is frustrating Police Chief Brian O'Hara, given that the department is down investigators and struggling to keep up with their caseloads.
"It's an intense need for manpower, to investigate these very quickly," he said after Tuesday's shooting.
