Tuesday is the first day of expanded eligibility for the COVID vaccine, and Governor Tim Walz will be getting his vaccination.
Earlier this month, Walz was exposed to someone with the virus and had to quarantine. The Governor faced questions as to why he wasn't already vaccinated.
His office has announced that Walz (D) will be joined by former Governor Tim Pawlenty (R) in getting the Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine Tuesday afternoon. Walz is 56 years old, and Pawlenty is 60.
Walz announced last week that all Minnesotans age 16 and older would be eligible for a COVID vaccine beginning March 30th.
