There were a handful of flight cancellations Friday morning at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, but it's not as bad as Thursday's ground stop.
For about two hours, flights leaving MPS were stopped because of am FAA air traffic center equipment outage.
That led to more than eighty delayed departures before the systems came back on line.
The average delay time for outbound flights because of the ground stop was about 90 minutes, with some of the flights not leaving until evening hours.
The FAA still doesn't know what led the outage, which also caused issues with arrivals.
Only a limited number of flights were able to land.
Those flights from Iowa, Michigan, Kansas, Missouri, the Dakotas and Wisconsin were diverted or held at their point of origin.
