Four high schools in Dakota County are closed following threats on social media.
The threats came Monday and were relayed to law enforcement.
Closed are Eastview, Apple Valley, Eagan, and Rosemount high schools. All are part of the Independent School District 196.
Families were notified by a districtwide email that went out Tuesday morning.
Included in the post was the statement that safety is the district's first priority and that administrators were working with law enforcement officials.
All elementary and middle schools will still hold classes Tuesday. Students who are at school are being dismissed in an orderly fashion. Buses will return students home.
No further information is available. The school district says they will provide an update later Tuesday morning.
