Searching for a new home can be fun. Except when you're forced to move.

That's the scenario Hopewell Music Cooperative North is facing. The program, which provides students of all ages an opportunity to learn music, is looking for another location because the new landlord's decided to terminate their lease.

Regardless, optimism remains high according to Development Officer James Haas.

"We reside in North Minneapolis and a lot of our students and families are from North Minneapolis," says Haas. "And anyone can come here. The great thing is we have scholarships, we're one of the few music schools that offers a sliding scale tuition."

Hopewell has been in their current location for 11 years. The school's mission is to make learning music more accessible.

Now, the 12 instructors, 13 instruments, and just over 100 are relocating and the organization is hoping to raise $150,000 to help ease the transition to a new destination.
