Don't put away the heavy coats, wood hats, choppers, and long underwear.
This cold snap isn't even close to being over.
And when it is, even freezing temperatures will make you want to get out the shorts and open-toes sandals.
As we stand right now, temperatures are not expected to crack ten degrees above zero until Monday, while the overnight lows will remain well below zero for even longer.
That would make ten straight days of daytime temperatures below 10 above, and at least 12 days in a row for nights with below-zero thermometer readings.
"But the good news is, it's going to warm up nicely," said Paul.
This cold snap is going to be broken after next week, with temperatures still chilly but topping out in the 20's and 30's from late February into early March.
"The last week of February, I think we'll go at or above freezing," Paul said.
Until then, if you have to go outside, cover up exposed skin to prevent frostbite.
Also, it's best to watch driving on roadways covered in fresh snow.
"A coating of snow at zero, or five below, is far more dangerous than six inches of snow at 28 degrees," Paul said. "The salt, when it gets this cold, just doesn't work."
