One person is in custody after a shooting that sent a teenage boy to Regions Hospital with life-threatening injuries late Wednesday afternoon.
According to tweets sent out by the St. Paul Police Department, the shooting happened just after 4 p.m. at Jimmy Lee Recreation Center in St. Paul. A teen suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
The arrest of a 26-year-old man was announced just before 10 p.m. by St. Paul police. A gun was also recovered.
Central High School, located across the street from the rec center, has canceled Thursday classes along with after school activities.
