Ever wish you could have the expertise of a head chef in your kitchen? Well, this Thanksgiving, you can, thanks to the Twin Cities Turkey Hotline open a week ahead of time to help you prepare.

The hotline is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, offering access to chefs who can help answer your emergency turkey day questions.

Some of the chefs manning the phones include those from Momento, Revival, and Hola Arepa. The chefs will be taking shifts and offering help throughout the day.

With the holiday just a week away, home cooks can call in and get all of their Thanksgiving cooking questions answered by top local chefs early to be best prepared.

Local public relations representative Dara Levine came up with the idea.

As for the best tip from chefs?

“I think the biggest turkey tip that everyone always says is to use a meat thermometer,” Levine said. “There’s no set timing that can nail it. Every oven is slightly different.

One of seven different Twin Cities Chefs will be available for only today on the hotline at 1-844-TURKEYDAY.
