Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan is in Chicago and ready for her role as co-chair of the Democratic National Committee.
She's one of four people in that role, and tells WCCO's Vineeta Sawkar on the Morning News that it's going to be an eventful week.
"I think that it's really an incredible moment," she said. "I'm humbled and honored to be in this role and excited to maybe humble brag a little bit about Minnesota."
The other DNC co-chairs are Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey, Congresswoman Veronica Escobar of Texas, and former Biden campaign co-chair Mitch Landreau.
Flanagan is in her second term as lieutenant governor, rising to the post with Governor Tim Walz in 2019.
Walz had been rules committee chair of the convention, but he's now the running mate of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
