Charges are not yet filed against the man who was arrested yesterday in connection with his teenaged son's disappearance and death.

16-year-old Manny Collins hadn't been seen since May 8th.

His remains were found in a landfill in Elk River, which was searched for several weeks by several law enforcement agencies.

"This is a complex investigaton," Anoka County sheriff Brad Wise said earlier this month. "We're going to be guarded about some information that we do share."

Officials say Manny Collins had been living with his father since April.

"I want the public to know that the investigation is not stagnant," said Wise. "I think, the fact that a four-week search of the landfill illustrates pretty clearly that tenacity of law enforcement in bringing justice."

Authorities say they had video evidence that suggested the remains were taken to that landfill.
