A man shot by an on-duty security officer at the Huntington Place apartment complex has reportedly died, according to Brooklyn Park police.
The security officer reportedly heard a woman screaming for help at the complex, and when he found her, a 62-year-old man was allegedly trying to stab her.

The security officer ordered the man to drop the knife, and when he didn't, shots were fired.
The man was hit and taken to a local area hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
Brooklyn Park Police Deputy Chief Mark Bruley says they are investigating the shooting, and information will be turned over to the county attorney.
However, charges are not expected to be brought against the security guard, whose name has not been released.
"We have not arrested the security guard because there's just no probable cause that we've identified to believe that he's committed a crime," Bruley said. "In fact, all of the preliminary evidence suggests that he's a hero. That he likely saved this woman's life."
Police say the security officer is employed with 10-Code Security and is cooperating with the investigation.
