A St. Paul man is now charged with second-degree unintentional murder and second-degree manslaughter in connection to last Friday's deadly shooting that claimed the life a St. Olaf football player.

Dakota County prosecutors say 19-year-old Terrell Ranzy shot and killed 20-year-old Matthew Lee and seriously injured 20-year-old Keith Woodson Cox Jr. inside a South St. Paul residence after Woodson Cox allegedly tried to rob Ranzy of his gun.

Ranzy fled the scene prompting a brief shelter-in-place before he was eventually found inside a shed.

Woodson Cox is charged with attempted aggravated robbery.

Lee was linebacker in his junior year at St. Olaf.
