The Carver County Sheriff's Office is investigating the stabbing of a teenage girl at the Carver Fleet Farm Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say the 17-year old girl from Jordan, Minnesota was stabbed in the neck. She is in stable condition at Hennepin Healthcare.

Charges are now filed against 31-year-old Gerald Hudson of Kansas City. He is charged 1st degree assault and 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

Investigators say Hudson fled the scene and was arrested during a high-risk traffic stop a short time later.

So far there appears to be no known connection between Hudson and the victim who remains in stable condition at the hospital and it's not clear what led to the stabbing.
