Shocking charges filed in an alleged murder in Lakeville, Minnesota.
A 23-year-old man is charged with two counts of second degree murder after allegedly killing and dismembering his 30-year old sister and her unborn child last Thursday.
Police were called to a home on the 1700 block of Encina Path in Lakeville, south of the Twin Cities. That's where they found 30-year-old Bethany Ann Israel and her unborn child dead.
The criminal complaint says that the two went out to dinner at a residence in Lakeville and when the woman, Bethany Ann Isreal, didn't return home a family member became concerned and drove to the residence where they saw Ball leave the scene.
Police say they found found bloody knives and several dismembered body parts in the home.
Jack Ball was later located at a residence in nearby Rosemount and he was arrested after someone called police saying he had placed a body part on their doorstep.
Ball was then taken to the hospital with a self-inflicted neck-wound.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner determined the child was between 17 and 18 weeks at the time she was killed.
