A man is in custody after a string of suspicious dumpster fires early Monday morning.
Crews were called just before 3:30 a.m. to an apartment fire on the 900 block of West Lake Street in the Lyn-Lake neighborhood of South Minneapolis.
One unit in the two story building was damaged by the flames which investigators believed started in a dumpster next to the building.
While crews were extinguishing that fire, other dumpster fires were reported nearby along Lake Street, with an eyewitness reporting that he "saw somebody starting them."
That person was taken into custody by police. No injuries reported in any of the blazes.
