A man is custody after a woman was found dead inside a Woodbury home on Friday afternoon.
According to Woodbury Police, a woman called 9-1-1 at 3:43 p.m. Friday and said a man called her and told her he had killed a woman inside a Woodbury residence. The caller told police that several children were inside the home.
A SWAT team surrounded the residence in the 7500 block of Steepleview Rd and several children exited the house when asked. The children told police the victim left with a man earlier in the day. When the SWAT team entered the home, they found the deceased woman.
The children said they were not aware that the woman was in the home.
An investigation led to the arrest of McKinley Phillips, 39, who is reportedly known to police.
The victim's name has not been released.
