There's a large police presence in Maplewood Thursday morning after a deadly hit-and-run Wednesday night.
Investigators say a vehicle hit a female 23-year old pedestrian at around 9:20 p.m. at Larpenteur Avenue E and Deter Street. The driver then sped away from the scene.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Another 22-year old woman has been hospitalized and is expected to survive.
Investigators say they have located a vehicle connected to the hit-and-run.
The Maplewood Police Department is working with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to piece together the details of what led up to the crash.
Right now no one is in custody.
