Plan A Safe Ride: Metro Transit trains and buses will be free Saturday night for St. Patrick's Day celebrations

If you're going to be out partying this Saturday for St. Patrick's Day, Metro Transit will be offering free rides from 6:00 p.m. until the end of service on all routes that night.

This includes buses and light rail.

Titled Miller Lite Free Rides, passengers can celebrate responsibly and take a seat for free.

The Metro Blue and Green lines will also offer extended services until 12:30 and 12:35 a.m. respectively.

DETAILS: On Saturday, March 16 Metro Transit customers can ride free from 6 p.m. to end of service on all Metro Transit routes – buses and light rail. No fare, no coupons; simply hop on and take a seat for free. Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) is also participating.

* Extra late night service for the METRO Blue and Green Lines:

- The METRO Blue Line will have an additional southbound trip to Mall of America station leaving Target Field station at 12:30 a.m.

- The METRO Green Line will have an additional eastbound trip to St. Paul leaving Target Field station at 12:35 a.m.

Check your route’s schedule for late-night service.
