Minneapolis Park Police are sharing more details about a big fentanyl bust a few days before Christmas in downtown Minneapolis.
It happened during a traffic stop near Elliot Park which resulted in the arrest of a man who was in possession of nearly 1,800 fentanyl pills.
28-year-old Bernard Augusta Mack is charged with a felony.
Park Police Chief Jason Ohotto says this discovery is part of a larger problem.
"The Park Police Department, in my estimation, has recovered more fentanyl this year than we ever have," says Ohotto. "I believe fentanyl is fueling a great deal of violence and livability issues across our city."
Park Police are asking for the public's help in finding three additional suspects who fled the scene of the traffic stop the night of December 23.
