The Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board announced this morning plans to rebuild and perhaps improve Loring Park's iconic “Dandelion Fountain”.

The Berger Fountain, as it's officially known, has been in the park since 1975 but hasn't worked since 2020 due to aging plumbing and the supporting structure.

The reconstruction project could include added plaza seating areas and a splash pad.

The Park Board is looking for public input that they're collecting on their website, hoping to have a plan in place by next summer and begin construction in the fall of 2024.
