The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating after a fatal officer-involved shooting in Rochester.
It happened around 9:30 Wednesday night during a domestic call to Ashland Drive Northwest, after a mental health crisis response escalated into a struggle over an officer’s firearm.
Then, according to police, a second officer fired at the suspect who later died at Mayo Clinic Hospital.
Investigators are now reviewing the scene and officer statements to determine the exact sequence of events leading up to the discharge of the weapon.
