Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon isn't hiding his idea for where he believes Major League Baseball should move the 2021 MLB All-Star Game.
In a tweet posted Friday night, Simon wrote "Hey @MLB we in Minnesota would welcome the All-Star Game! Bonus: We have pro-voter election laws, and the #1 voter turnout in the nation."
Simon's tweet came after Major League Baseball announced Friday they would relocate the 2021 All-Star Game and MLB Draft from Atlanta over restrictive voting legislation.
"Over the last week, we have engaged in thoughtful conversations with Clubs, former and current players, the Players Association, and The Players Alliance, among others, to listen to their views," MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in his statement. "I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year's All-Star Game and MLB Draft.
MLB said they will move the All-Star Game and draft to a to-be-determined location.
Minnesota's hosted the MLB All-Star Game three times. The All-Star Game was at Target Field in 2014, the Metrodome in 1985, and Met Stadium in 1965.
