
Minnesota hospitalizations due to COVID-19 have grown to a 2021, representing a pre-vaccination high, as the state reports an 8.3% test positivity rate.
960 are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 complications, including 254 in intensive care. 96% of ICU beds in the state are occupied. Health experts have stressed how the high-transmissible delta variant has changed the course of the pandemic.
The Minnesota Department of Health Tuesday reported 10 deaths due to COVID-19 and more than 8,000 new cases. Nine of the 10 who died were older adults, except for a Morrison County resident in their early 40s.
