The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's office released dramatic video of the "near miss" on Thursday. The bus driver was heading south on Highway 169 in central Minnesota, when a northbound semi truck crossed over the center line.

The bus driver, Brian Lathrop, made a quick move to avoid colliding head-on with the tractor-trailer.

Sheriff Kyle Burton said Lathrop’s action “undoubtedly saved many lives.”

The Sheriff says the vehicles sideswiped near the rear passenger side of the bus. Two students were checked out for minor injuries.
