The 2021 Minnesota State Fair is scheduled to start in nine months and two days, and already the folks working at the historic fairgrounds on Falcon Heights are offering a bargain-basement discount on tickets.
Today only, you can buy state fair entry tickets for ten dollars each. That’s a savings of five dollars off the regular price, and the largest discount ever offered for fair tickets.
You can find out how to get tickets here.
Purchases are limited to 12 tickets for what they're calling the Great Minnesota Get-Back Together, and the sale ends at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
The 2020 Minnesota State Fair was canceled because of coronavirus concerns, although the fairgrounds hosted a wildly popular drive-through food parade.
The fairgrounds right now is the site of a Christmas light show, which also offers state fair food delicacies.

The cancellation was the sixth time the Minnesota State Fair has been called off.
It was not held in 1861 because of the Civil War, and 1862 because of the US-Dakota War.
In 1893, a scheduling conflict with the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago led state fair organizers to call off the event.
The fair also didn’t go on in 1945 because of World War II travel restrictions and 1946 because of a polio epidemic that was centered in Minnesota.
