The Minneapolis Monster Jam is coming to U.S. Bank Stadium for what drivers are calling an adrenaline-charged weekend of family friendly fun.

The event will feature 12 iconic trucks including Grave Digger, Megaladon and a new comer Sparkle Smash, a six-ton unicorn truck featuring a confetti cannon and - as the name implies - a whole lot of sparkle.

Driver Kayla Blood says for her, competing has become all about the fans.

"Being a competitor, you go out there and you want to compete, you want to have fun, but then you also realize that being a female in the sport, you're getting out there and you're inspiring so many people just by having the guts to get out there and compete with the guys in these trucks," she says. "A lot of the females in Monster Jam, each and every one of us are fierce and we bring something a little different to the table."

Drivers are set to compete in three forms of competition this weekend: racing, two-wheel skills, and freestyle.

For Sparkle Smash, it's a Minnesota debut. Blood says her truck is bringing new fans to the event.

"It's pretty cool because it's bringing in so many different people and dynamics that have never been into Monster Jam before," Blood explains. Probably one of our only girl power Monster Jam trucks, I guess you can say. She has sparkles, she has glitter stars. She blows confetti out of the horn, which is really awesome, and the kids go crazy."

Blood says her favorite part of the event is the pre-pit party where she can meet fans of Sparkle Smash.

The event takes place at U.S. Bank Stadium both Saturday and Sunday. You can still get tickets here.
