Minneapolis police are reporting more than 30 arrests and some damage following a night of unrest in the downtown area.

Those people were cited and released, according to the MPD.

The damage was reported at the Depot Renaissance Hotel.

Protesters swarmed to the area in reaction to the shooting death of Renee Good by a federal ICE agent.

Many gathered outside the Canopy Hilton hotel at third and Park, where they believed ICE agents were staying.

They used musical instruments and makeshift noise makers to create a wave of sound meant to keep anyone in the hotel from getting a good night's rest.

Many were blowing whistles, fast becoming a symbol of calling attention to federal agents staging raids.

Police say they declared unlawful assembly after some of the protesters got inside the Canopy Hotel.

Police were able to clear the area before 11:00 p.m. Friday.

More protests are scheduled to take place on Saturday, including a demonstration at Powderhorn Park, not far from where the woman died.
