Mötley Crue, led by singer Vince Neil and most of the original cast of characters, is coming back to the Great Minnesota Get-Together.
Including Tommy Lee on drums and Nikki Six on bass, along with guitarist John Five, "The Crue" will be at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand Thursday, August 29.
Th this marks the third time Mötley Crue has played at the Fair, last appearing in 2012 alongside Kiss.
The original Mötley Crue of Vince Neil (vocals), Nikki Sixx (bass), Tommy Lee (drums) and Mick Mars (guitars) has sold over 100 million albums worldwide, garnered seven U.S. platinum and multi-platinum albums, 22 Top 40 mainstream rock hits, six Top 20 pop singles, three Grammy nominations, five New York Times bestselling books, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a Netflix hit movie.
But the band has dealt with internal issues the last two years after Mars decided to call it quits in October of 2022, and has been embroiled in a legal dispute with the rest of the band ever since.
Guitarist John Five is replacing Mars on the tour. The 72-year old Mars continues to deal with the disfiguring bone disease ankylosing spondylitis making touring and playing live virtually impossible now for one of the band's founders. Mars has alleged that his retirement from the road is causing the band to deny him rights to future proceeds.
Mötley Crue carries on with Five and the other original members 43-plus years into their career.
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday morning here. Prices range from $77 all the way up to $207.
