A central Minnesota murder remains unsolved nine years later.
43-year-old Terry Brisk was shot and killed November 7th, 2016 while deer hunting on his parent’s property off Hawthorne Road and Jewel Road northeast of Little Falls.
Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen says his office will continue their commitment to bring closure to Terry’s family by holding the person responsible accountable for his death.
“Nine years have passed since this tragic incident, but time has not lessened our determination to find justice," says Larsen. "Our investigators, along with our state and federal partners, continue to actively pursue every lead and explore new forensic opportunities. We owe it to Terry, his family, and his friends to keep pushing forward.”
Investigators say evidence shows Brisk was shot with his own rifle and that the suspect was in close proximity to Brisk, and that the two likely would have interacted prior to the homicide taking place.
"Terry Brisk was an avid outdoorsman, who was well respected," reads a statement from the Morrison County Sheriff's Office. "He was fatally shot with his own rifle while deer hunting. Based on evidence at the scene, it was determined that the suspect was in close proximity to Terry, and it is believed that Terry and the suspect would have interacted prior to the homicide taking place."
