
Investigators say 23-year-old Damon Constans Jr. was armed with a chainaw and ignored officers commands during a domestic situation back on June 11th on the 32-hundred block of 63rd Avenue North in Brooklyn Center.
Police first used non-lethal rounds to try and subdue Constans,two Brooklyn Center officers then fired their service weapons, hitting Constans who hospitalized in stable condition.
Officers reportedly attempted to negotiate with Constans after he armed himself with the chainsaw. In addition to non-lethal rounds, they also fired PepperBall rounds in an attempt to subdue him.
Both of those officers are on critical incident leave while the BCA reviews body camera footage.
