Minneapolis police are still searching for suspects following Saturday morning's deadly shooting at a homeless encampment not far from the intersection of Franklin and Hiawatha.
Two others were hurt in the shooting and remain hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Minneapolis police chief Brian O'Hara notes that whenever homeless camps pop up, crime increases in the vicinity.
Authorities say the shooting happened around 4:45 a.m. Saturday at what they call a "small" homeless encampment at 21st St. East and 15th St. South.
One man who was shot died at the hospital.
It's not known if the three men who were wounded were connected in any way.
